Tech Architect - VIrtualization & Debugging

Primary Skills: Virtualization and debugging

·         Technical Competencies:

·         Deep Domain knowledge on Computing Platform, Server Technologies

·         Deep Working knowledge on Virtualization products such as Vmware vSphere products, Microsoft Hyper-V

·         Deep knowledge on Vmware vSphere product features such as vMotion, HA, DRS, Distributed Virtual Switch, Fault Tolerance

·         Deep knowledge on Hyper-V role features such as migration

·         Working knowledge on HP ProLiant Servers, Networking controllers, storage controllers and storage arrays

·         Troubleshoot skills on ProLiant hardware issues, virtualization product issues

·         Knowledge on OS Architecture (Windows, Linux and Virtualization OS)

·         Creating Test Design, Technical solution and customer solutions

·         Investigation and Understanding of latest technologies from OEM Vendors

·         Identify new Test Scenarios, to build customer solutions

·         Test case preparation, planning and verify Ted Bed setup.

·         Resolving technical queries.

·         Interact with Client for requirement gathering, progress update and reporting.

·         Knowledge on testing methodologies

·         Work on problems of highly complex scope, through expert usage of non-standard concepts & principles requiring high levels of judgment & interpretation (with the help of senior architects)

·         Role is capable of finding out new methods and processes to approach complex situations in the respective area(s) of expertise.

·         Expected to continue to build upon domain knowledge and technical/ proprietary skills to reach levels of expertise, while adapting standard principles to new or changed conditions in day to day work.

·         Should be able to help senior level architects in implementing Prototypes/POCs by realizing/implementing ideas and vision established by senior level architects.

·         Has the ability to respond to detailed queries and will be called upon to advise mid-level Management on specialized technical issues.

Project Competencies and Behavioral Competencies :

·         Apply own judgment to independently determine a course of action, which is then executed by project teams

·         Work as a guide and sets directions to the team for medium sized projects of reasonable complexity.

·         Should lead, create architecture and design for small to medium projects with minimum or little oversight from a senior level architect

·         Defining tasks and milestones to be executed by project teams, while ensuring the optimal use of resources to meet those objectives.

·         Fostering the development of team  by providing a supportive environment for continuous learning

·         Work as a guide and sets directions to the team for medium sized projects of reasonable complexity.

·         Extensive knowledge of multiple development technologies/ expert knowledge of one technology (e.g. J2EE or .NET). Needs hands on experience to be able to guide project teams in design and programming.

·         Demonstrates experience in the design of modules/components and preferably system/application level architecture

·         Experience in working onsite-offshore model projects.

·         Exp: 5.0 to 8.0yrs
