Content Analyst

Job purpose/overview                                                  

The position is for the Global Technical Readiness team at Microsoft. The person would report to the QA Manager would be responsible for editing and publishing tasks for technical trainings for Microsoft.

 

Responsibilities include:

·         Editing, packaging, and publishing tasks for training documents.

·         Creating On-line trainings and presentations from available trainings and multimedia content.

·         Enhancing captured presentations and online sessions (video clips) using editing tools.

·         Coordinating with Subject Matter Experts and Program Managers

 

Required qualifications include:

ü  Excellent written and verbal English communications skills

ü  Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

ü  Strong editing skills (document editing for completeness, grammar, flow and presentation),

ü  Ability to use Office and SharePoint as project collaboration tools

ü  Exposure to 'Global English' is a plus

ü  Planning skills with demonstrated ability to set appropriate stakeholder expectations and meet scheduling deadlines

Preferred qualifications include:

Ø  Experience as a trainer, instructional designer or technical writer

Ø  Knowledge of Office application templates and HTML.

AM - Indirect Taxation

For one of the Leading IT Company based out of Bangalore:

·         Qualification – CA  or ICWA

·         Should have at least 4 Years of post qualification experience.

·         Should have sound Technical Knowledge of  Service Tax  Laws , Rules  and  VAT  Laws and Rules of various States  i.e. Karnataka, Tamil Nadu , Maharashtra , Gujarat, MP, UP etc. 

·         Should be aware with the latest case laws, Notifications, Circulars on Service Tax and VAT.

·         Should have  good  work experience in the following areas:

~        Replying to Queries, SCNs and Appeals in the matter of Service Tax and VAT.

~        Attending various Tax Hearings and meeting with Tax officials.

~        Computation of Service Tax liability Import of services under reverse charge mechanism.

~        Preparation of ST-3 Returns

~        Handling Departmental Audit and CAG Audit

~        Preparation of documents and Handling of Service Tax Refunds.

~        Handling of VAT Assessments of Various States.

~        Reconciliation of Service Tax Accounts , Revenue  Accounts

~        Handling Internal & Statutory Audits

~        Tax Planning and Optimization strategies.

~        Good Knowledge of Spreadsheets/ MS Excel, Oracle and ERP.

·         Should  have good communication  and influencing skill

·         Should be able to manage a small team.

·         Should be able to work with multiple stakeholders to collate information and offer solution.

Senior Oracle Application DBA

 

Responsibilities:

The Role & Responsibilities shall include:

·         Provide day to day and project support for Oracle Applications. This includes but is not limited to: patch analysis and deployment, cloning and database tuning.

·         Communicate to stakeholders via standard methods (e.g. orally, email, ticket system)

·         Resolve incidents and problems. Communication of same to stakeholders.

·         Facilitate the promotion of application code, setups, databases and related components from the various levels of development through staging and production

·         Follow standard ITSS operational methods utilizing ITSS’ standard tool set

·         Development of technical procedures, scripts and associated documentation

·         Assist in disaster recovery preparation, planning and testing

·         Experience / Education – B.E / B.Tech / MCA with at least 5 to 7 yrs experience on Oracle Application DBA.

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

Position overview:

-        Manage the FP&A team based out of Bangalore

-        Provide support to FP&A team based in Palo Alto, US

-        Act as the Finance business partner for the India General Manager

Responsibilities:

·         Provide support to US based FP&A Managers/directors in detailed researching of variances by understanding GL and transactional level details

·         Produce Management reports and analysis for assigned functional groups

·         Produce department level T&E report by person with trend analysis and distribute to various functional groups within the company.

·         Produce detailed headcount reports for assigned functional group

·         Develop reports and analysis on per person cost at a country level

·         Produce monthly score card reports for assigned organization

·         Analyze Capital expenditure relative to forecast and Plan

·         Assist with monthly forecasts and annual plans as needed

·         Effectively establish a finance business partnership with the India General Manager and his direct reports

 

Education Required:

·         CA

 

Experience Required:

·         At least 7-10 years of experience in finance/accounting with an emphasis on financial analysis techniques with or on behalf of large companies.

 

Skills:

·         Prior experience with financial planning and analysis and interfacing with business teams

·         Prior experience in business support roles

·         Ability to build analytical models that can be driven into standard planning tools

·         Strong initiative and desire to work in a team-oriented environment

Business Analyst

Job Purpose:

The Business analyst role is critical to the success of QMO. The person will be responsible for providing support to strategic analysis and driving continuous improvements by gathering and analyzing performance data.

 

Responsibilities:

o   Collection, analysis and representation of  performance data to provide intelligence & enable business to make data oriented decisions to drive excellence and continuous improvements.

o   Use six sigma/lean methodologies to enable the QMO Segment Lead to drive a structured improvement approach in business operations and internal team excellence.

o   Responsible for creating various business scorecards to enable the QMO Segment Lead to drive business reviews and adherence to action plan.

o   Prepare executive level presentations for QMO Segment Lead to provide to customers, internal leadership and stakeholders highlighting business results/opportunities for improvement on a weekly/monthly basis.

Candidate Profile:

- Experience:6-8 years of related experience; preferably in the IT industry of which minimum of 2 years in the Quality function, driving operational improvements.

- Education: Bachelors / Masters Degree

 

Professional Training and Certification:

- Required: Proven Statistical Analysis capability & experience.

- Preferred:

·         Six Sigma Certified or Trained at Green Belt or the higher Black Belt levels.

·         COPC / ISO / LEAN certifications, experience or exposure would be an added advantage.

Oracle Apps CRM Functional Consultant

 

Overall Responsibility:

This position will be responsible for carrying out Production Support for the Global Oracle ERP Instance for Emerson Process Management. Requires expert skills in Triage, Investigation, problem resolution and Communication.

 

Skills and experience required:

Implementation experience and detailed understanding of the following Oracle Application modules in Release 11i.

OM, Inventory, BOM, WIP, iStore, Service, Sales Online, Quoting.

·         3-5 years experience with Oracle ERP, at least 3+ years experience with Oracle 11i, E-Business Suite in a Global CRM Environment.

·         Working knowledge of Oracle Configurations/ setups for 11i E-Business Suite; functional module setups; profile options, flex-fields, functional module interfaces. 

·         Ability to analyze, understand and effectively communicate functional material to end users and management. 

·         Define future business processes around Oracle CRM modules.

·         Experience with gathering user requirements and understanding and interpreting requirements specifications.

·         Experience with Full Systems Development Life Cycle
