Talent Sourcer

 

Role Purpose:

The Talent Sourcer is tasked with developing innovative and proactive methods to source, evaluate, and pipeline candidates. Talent Sourcers should foster and cultivate relationships with key candidates and develop large-scale talent pools to deliver upon both immediate short-term and strategic long-term needs.

 

Job Responsibilities (all areas):

·         Implement a variety of candidate generation techniques, strategies, and programs and stay ahead of new innovation

·         Gain a deep understanding of the talent landscape in your area; build a competitive intelligence knowledge base of companies and candidates residing within those companies

·         Engage with hiring managers where appropriate and Staffing Consultant’s, to understand fully the role or business that you are sourcing for. Identify any gaps in the talent supply for Microsoft situated in your area of focus

·         Use your market knowledge and sourcing skills to engage with active and non – active applicants

·         Cultivate relationships with key candidate and specific talent pools, defined according to long-term initiatives and direction of the organization - turn applicants from non active to active by developing strong candidate relationships

·         Build and engage with a talent community that includes a high volume of targeted candidates

·         Utilize NGS (e-recruitment system) to store talent pools of appropriate candidates

·         Actively source Diverse candidates from a variety of sources

·         Screen candidates that you have identified if you are sourcing for a specific role

·         Evaluation of your own productivity and effectiveness of methods used to deliver results. Talent Sourcers who are tasked with requirement based sourcing will be set specific productivity targets

·         Deliver requisite volume of candidates that flow through to interview and offer stage

·         Meet team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as reduction in agency usage, % female hires etc

·         Staying within budget, maximizing utilization of sourcing resources

 

Skills and Experience (Qualifications)

Essential:

·         5+ yrs Recruiting experience demonstrating capability in creative sourcing techniques

·         Effective strategic thinking and problem solving

·         Deep knowledge regarding specific disciplines and technologies

·         Passion for and significant experience identifying and screening candidates

·         Ability to understand, articulate and sell Microsoft culture and business initiatives

·         Track record of innovation and creativity.

Staffing Consultant

 

To manage the end to end hiring process in one or more subsidiaries, building strong relationships with the business and developing a deep understanding of the talent landscape in assigned area

 

Job Responsibilities (all areas):

·         Develop and implement sourcing strategies and hiring plans

·         Build strong business knowledge and integrate into sourcing talent attraction strategies

·         Partner with Hiring Managers and build strong client relationships

·         Source candidates proactively, screen relevant candidates, present candidates to hiring managers and provide coaching on talent assessment, make hiring recommendations

·         Understand local legal situation with regards contracts, visa/ work permits, discrimination laws etc

·         Collaborate effectively with internal partners such as Compensation and Benefits, College and MBA Recruiting, Central Sourcing, Diversity, Staffing Marketing, and other organizations and peers as appropriate to ensure a high quality experience for hiring managers and candidates

·         Participates in staffing related projects

·         Effectively shares candidates across staffing teams by using knowledge of businesses, professions and recruiter relationships

·         Contribute as a positive member of the staffing team, supporting team members and assisting others in their success

 

Multi Country Specific Job Responsibilities

·         Manage college/university hiring if College SC doesn’t exist in countries where responsible for hiring

Skills and Experience (Qualifications):

·         5+ years of related recruiting experience: passion for placing candidates; significant experience identifying, sourcing, screening, interviewing and closing candidates at all levels

·         Deep understanding of talent acquisition and its relationship to talent management

·         Effective strategic thinking, problem solving, cross group collaboration and oral/written communication skills

·         Excellent negotiation skills

Business Development Manager

Job Profile:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling consulting services engagements and support agreements in alignment with the account sales teams. These engagements often include partner resources and are preferably delivered to/through partners although they may be delivered directly to customers

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Responsible for all services negotiations with customers.  Held accountable for Services revenue, customer & partner satisfaction, backlog for his/her projects and employee satisfaction in his/her projects.

·         Enable account teams to meet their objectives through the effective selling of Microsoft and Partner services engagements.

·         The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling support & consulting services and building strong relationships with customers that result in “On Strategy”, profitable services engagements.

·         As part of the sales process, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, scoping and closing MCS engagements & support agreements with assistance from Technical Account Managers and consultants from Partners and MCS.

·         The Business Development Manager will have flexibility around investment and pricing structures for engagements within set limits but will need Practice Management involvement on issues around major discounts, non standard contractual language or project financing.

·         The Business Development Manager will be responsible for determining whether engagements should involve MCS and/or a partner, and should ensure that engagements are aligned with MS stated mission.

·         He may assist in identifying service offerings that deliver value to customers and partners of Microsoft. The Business Development Manager is responsible for planning Services engagement is account territories in line with the account plans.

·         The Business Development Manager is responsible for communicating within the project team, Microsoft and the customer.  

·         The Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining the integration between the Sales team and Microsoft Services by working within the Sales organization while working closely with consultants in Engagement Management or delivery roles.

 

Competencies:

ü  Should possess sound communication and conflict management skills. 

ü  Must be able to work as part of a virtual account team to support overall Microsoft strategy and successfully selling Microsoft consulting Services engagements at the same time.  

 

Experience and Knowledge Requirements:

-        10+ years of related experience in selling services or consulting

-        Must have strong relationship and business development skills and be capable of working as part of large virtual account teams.

-        The ideal candidate will have working experience in consulting, client/project management AND high-end professional services business development/delivery combined with a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience. 

-        Must have solution sales or strategic sales training.

-        Must have advanced business development skills in selling to large enterprise.  Must be able to understand and articulate Microsoft technology strategy and vision to a variety of audiences.

The Role – Consultant:

Consultant Applications will have a mix of advanced technology and business acumen. The Developer Consultant helps customer/partner account teams identify, pursue and close strategic business development opportunities while continually driving add-on business within existing projects. To accomplish this, Developer Consultants must be effective in fostering executive level relationships. When asked, consultants help translate business or application development requirements into technology requirements for inclusion in contracts and/or statements of work.\

 

Responsibilities:

Define Vision & Scope, Create Design & Architecture

·         Maintain a breadth of knowledge in a market sector, of industry standard frameworks and architectures as well as demonstrable technical expertise in deploying .NET solutions and related MS technologies

·         Provide constructive feedback for all the assets downloaded from the internal knowledge management system.

 

Candidates Profile:

-        9 years work experience in Consultancy, Architecting, Design, Deployment and/or support of software-related products or services, in a Microsoft-based large-scale Enterprise environment.

-        Advanced level of knowledge in  .NET Frameworks, C#, ASP.NET, MOSS/BizTalk, SQL, XML Technologies and Web Services

-        Good knowledge of MS Products such as Win2003/2008 Advanced Server, SQL Server 2005/2008, BizTalk Server 2006/2009, MOSS 2010, Office System, COM+, .NET Framework 3.5/4.0, TCP/IP and general networking and Active Directory is required.

-        Ability to communicate with the appropriate audiences at all levels of an organization in a technical context.

-        Project Management Experience would is desirable

-        Bachelors degree in Engineering  – BE, BTECH or Equivalent.
