Technical Support Engineer -Developer Support

Job Summary

Provides technical assistance and developer support to customers and partners.

Summary of essential job functions

Provide technical assistance and developer support via phone, the Internet, e-mail and other electronic means. Obtain and retain general and detailed knowledge on any number of assigned developer products. Communicate technically complex remedies, solutions or workarounds in a clear and concise manner. Focus efforts to meet or exceed defined performance criteria.

Minimum requirements

·         4 year degree preferred or relevant industry experience; technical aptitude and hands-on experience developing Java software in an enterprise environment.

·         Comfortable learning and then using CRM and diagnostic tools. Evidence of learning and applying technical skills

 

Abilities Required

        Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field of studies

        Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills

        Fluent written and verbal communication in English

        Must have excellent customer handling skills and be used to working in environments with high levels of stress, dealing with complex technical issues whilst managing customer expectations

        4 + years industry experience in technical support or related disciplines

        2 + years of industry experience in Java development

        Intermediate level of knowledge in Spring Framework

        Intermediate level of knowledge in vSphere SDK/API

        Familiarity with Hibernate, Eclipse, Maven, or PowerCLI is preferred, but not required
