Sr. Programmer Analyst - Oracle Finance

Job Title: Senior Programmer Analyst – Oracle ERP

 

Education / Special Training Required

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Oracle Developer or DBA Certification a plus

 

 Qualifications / Work

  • Experience Required      Minimum of 5 years experience using Oracle Development tools preferably in an Oracle E-Business Suite/11i environment (Apps: 11.5.10. RDBMS 9i)
  • Release 12 experience is a plus
  • 2-5 years experience supporting one or more of the following Oracle modules from a technical prospective. Financials (AR, Costing, Pricing). iExpense experience is a huge plus. OM experience from a finance/pricing standpoint is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Oracle Applications architecture. Hands on knowledge of Oracle Workflow a major plus.
  • Strong communications skills. Must be able to write technical specifications based on functional business requirements. Must be able to work directly with business segment users at all levels.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Oracle Applications (Financials) a major plus but not required.

 

Job Summary

·         Analyzes user specifications and requirements. Encodes, tests, debugs, and documents programs on large-scale, complex projects. Revises and updates programs and documentation as required.

·         Technical Skills           RDBMS - Oracle 8i/9i

·         Operating System – UNIX, Windows XP

·         Oracle Tools – Developer 6i (Forms & Reports), PL/SQL, SQL*Plus, Workflow Builder (2.5/2.6)

·         Oracle ADF technology experience is a huge plus

·         Other Tools – TOAD, SQL Navigator, Rational Clear Case, Visual Source Safe, UNIX Shell Scripting

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·         Support existing Oracle functionality for business units, being an active participant in the full life cycle development process for new business initiatives as it relates to Oracle Applications RICE elements (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions and extensions).

·         Review functional requirements with business units and develop technical specification as required. Design, develop, document and unit test all new code enhancements to the existing Oracle Applications product suite.

·         May manage consultants on a project by project basis or assist in the managing of consultants technical assignments.

·         Work directly with Oracle Support in the management of SRs and coordinate any patch or code deployments with DBA’s and the infrastructure team.
