NVH Simulation Engineer

KEY COMPETENCIES/EXPERIENCE  

·         A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline, MSME is preferred

·         3+ years in NVH CAE with demonstrated capabilities in solving NVH problems

·         Solid understanding of vehicle and component NVH fundamentals

·         Proficient in FEA tools, specifically HYPERMESH and NASTRAN

·         Proficient in MATLAB

·         Familiar with CAD tools such as ProE, Creo, Catia, etc. and PDM/PLM software Windchill, Chinook, Smart team etc.

·         Hands-on experience with NVH testing instrumentation and data acquisition (LMS TestLab, B&K PULSE, Head Acoustics Artemis, ME Scope, etc.) is a plus

·         Capability of performing filed NVH issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis is a plus

JOB DESCRIPTION:

·         Create frame-in-white, trimmed body and full vehicle FEA models for NVH simulation

·         Perform modal correlation using MAC, FRAC, etc. to improve model fidelity and the prediction accuracy

·         Conduct modal analysis, frequency response analysis, order analysis/order tracking, and vibration/noise transfer path analysis

·         Conduct 6DOF rigid body analysis, transmissibility analysis and F-D analysis to assess isolation performance for powertrain, cab and drum assembly

·         Work with cross-functional teams to determine teams to identify and resolve issues, develop affordable countermeasures, optimize the structure for weight/cost, and work with Design & Release and program teams to implement.
