ETL/BI Developer

For US based Fortune 500 Company

Key Activities

Here after are underlined the main activities of the BI Developer:

·         Review specifications of new modules or reports.

·         To develop new cubes and maintain the existing cubes in cognos 8

·         Creating Metadata Models using Framework Manager and publishing packages & Implementing Security

·         Publishing ( Refreshing ) Cubes & Schedule ,Manage Reports  using Cognos Administrator

·         Creating different kind of reports like List, Cross-tab, dashboard, Chart and Burst.

·         To migrate current cubes in cognos 7 to cognos 8

·         To develop reports using framework manager.

·         To design, implement modules for business using cognos

·         Write the design documentation.

·         Design and maintain current informatica modules

·         Design and implement meta data layer and reports (using the new BI Tool)

·         Ensure data  consistency and integrity.

 

Experience 

·         5 years in the Data warehouse and Business Intelligence Domain

·         Technical knowledge of  ERP and reporting systems (Finance, Distribution, Sales and Marketing)

 

Competencies 

·         Data warehousing and Business Intelligence techniques.

·         4+ years of experience in design and development of cubes and reports using framework manager.

·         Significant experience working with DWH architecture, which includes designing of the data warehouse, data mart and working on Reporting tool Cognos 8,Cognos Reportnet, Cognos Impromptu, Cognos Power Play Transformer.

·         Experience on migration of cubes and reports from cognos 7 to cognos 8.

·         Experience with Cognos (Powerplay) to support existing applications done with this tool.

·         Data management techniques using ETL tools.

·         Experience with the ETL from Informatica (Powercenter).

·         Knowledge of SQL for Oracle.

·         Knowledge of Unix, XML.

·         Business level of English.

·         Flexibility, availability and ability to travel.

·         Positive attitude.

·         Intercultural awareness.

·         Experience with the ERP from Oracle (e-business suite).

·         Dynamic, Responsibility, accountability and culture of achievement.
