L3 Storage & Backup Administrator

Requirement:

−    At least 8 years working experience in IT support industry

−    At least 5+ years experience with storage and backup administration

−    Hands on Storage Administration skills to manage Netapp, SAN & Quantum Tape Backup platforms.

−    Install, upgrade, maintain and support DataONTAP, Netbackup Veritas & Networker software storage infrastructure.

−    Ensuring proper functioning of centralized backup system & routine administration.

−    Implementation of knowledge of Netapp Storage and Quantum Tape Libraries

−    Excellent knowledge with Netapp DataONTAP and fiber channel technology is a must.

−    Excellent knowledge with EMC Networker software

−    Good knowledge with Brocade SAN switch and EMC Symmetrix.

−    Good Knowledge on trouble shooting and resolving the issues on priority

−    Must have good knowledge of backup hardware, Redhat Linux and Windows OS platform.

−    Basic knowledge about shell script in UNIX platform.

Responsibilities:

·         Ensure the production stability for storage & backup technical environments and services as per the perimeter coverage.

·         Uphold the excellence for day-to-day storage & backup operations

·         Maintain storage and backup equipment's firmware in a supported version level.

·         Maximize the system up time and maintain sufficient free space to adapt the ongoing business growth.

·         Follow the bank standard, policies and change control procedure.

·         Monitor the daily health check status & incidents on Storage & Backup infrastructure and proactively follow up production issues.

·         Provide regular update to management team for system performance and capacity status and highlight the potential risk if any.

·         Participate in weekly team meeting and consistently communicate with teammates in remote countries.

·         Provide assistance and work closely with L1, L2 peers & regional teams within the perimeter support coverage.

·         Review documents for the policies, procedures and update them periodically in a timely basis.

·         Continuously improve technical skill set and share the knowledge with colleagues.

·         Evaluate new technologies and propose to the business to improve productivity and efficiency.

·         Provide suggestion to improve day-to-day storage and backup operation model.

Java Developer

·         Bachelors or higher degree or equivalent in computer science

·         At least 3+ years of strong core Java programming experience

·         Must have worked in OOPS (Object Oriented Programming) and Multithreading/ Multithreads concepts in projects.

·         Strong on HLD/ LLD (High Level/ Low Level Design).

·         Understanding of structural/ behavioral Design Patterns.

·         Experience in frameworks like Spring, Struts, Web2.0 technologies (GWT/SmartGwt 2.x, ExtJS etc.)

·         Experience of building new applications and working on integration solutions

·         Experience of building large complex applications

·         Contributing at both a design and a development level

·         Database knowledge of Oracle, MS SQL Server

·         Experience of UML, JUnit

Big Plus:

−    Experience of using one of the following application servers: Tomcat, Jboss, WebSphere, WebLogic

−    Experience of using Active MQ, IBM MQ

−    Performance & Tuning of J2EE application

Nice to Have:

−    Experience of programming in Web Services

−    Understanding of SOAP

−    Understanding of SSO, SSL
