BI ETL Developer

Key Activities

·         Participate in the planning, design and building of Metadata models using Cognos 8 Framework Manager. Define relationships, apply filters and and security and manage dimensions

·         Work closely with the onshore team of Business Analysts and Data Architects

·         Support the ongoing development of Cognos 7 Cubes and reports

·         Publishing ( Refreshing ) Cubes & Schedule ,Manage Reports  using Cognos Administrator

·         Using Cognos 8 Business Intelligence, design and develop scorecards and dashboards to support the ongoing analytics needs of the business

·         Participate in the planning and migration of existing Cognos 7 to to Cognos 8.4

·         Design and develop reports and data feeds to support the Cognos 8  Go Mobile application

·         To design, implement modules for business using cognos

 

Experience 

·         5 years in the Data warehouse and Business Intelligence Domain

·         Technical knowledge of  ERP and reporting systems (Finance, Distribution, Sales and Marketing)

Must

·         Data warehousing and Business Intelligence techniques.

·         4+ years of experience in design and development of cubes and reports using Cognos Framework manager.

• Significant experience working with Data Warehouse architecture, which includes designing of the data warehouse, data mart and working on Reporting tool Cognos 8,Cognos Reportnet, Cognos Impromptu, Cognos Power Play Transformer.

·         Experience on migration of cubes and reports from cognos 7 to cognos 8.4.

·         Experience with Cognos (Powerplay) to support existing applications done with this tool.

·         Data management techniques using ETL tools.

·         Experience with the ETL from Informatica (Powercenter).

·         Knowledge of SQL for Oracle.

·         Business level of English.

·         Flexibility, availability and ability to travel.

·         Experience with the ERP from Oracle (e-business suite).
