IT Manager (Exp.8 to 10 yrs.)

Reports to           : IT Head

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES –

·         Leading a team of system and network administrators, Dotnet & SharePoint developers and testers and manage team performance metrics & benchmarks to attain higher service levels.

·         Data-centre management, capacity planning for power, network, storage, hardware, system, database and middleware, including inventory management for hardware and software licenses

·         Achieving stringent SLAs through documentation and process based approach.

·         Engaging with various project teams and cross functional units for implementing IT and security policies and procedure in line with ISO27001 including BCP/DR in IT and operations.

·         Participating in budgeting exercise for IT, negotiating with vendor at a techno-commercial level with objective to achieve maximum value with minimum cost

·         Project management, capacity planning, costing, resource planning, risk assessment and administration systems involving different platforms and applications.

·         Technical architecting through effective interaction with business application, database administration and network engineering, functions to implement a SharePoint architecture that utilizes industry best practices to meet corporate objectives.

·         Migrating/developing and maintaining intranet & extranet portals and corporate website, including managing and operating SharePoint servers and databases.

·         Working with development team to designing, develop and maintain internal productivity tools and web services using standard software development methodologies.

·         Analyzing and diagnosing process, performance and technical issues following best practices for defect and version control and being responsible for problem solving, designing, coding and debugging

 

PREREQUISITE SKILLS

·         8 – 10 years of overall experience with 50:50 mix of in IT service delivery and development on .Net and SharePoint platforms.

·         Good knowledge and understanding of hardware, networking, operating system, messaging system, storage & Backup Solutions, Patch Management, Anti-Virus, and Systems Monitoring

·         Very good grasp on Microsoft operating environment and other standards software like Office, Outlook, OCS etc

·         Sound knowledge of WAN and LAN  technologies, including very good understanding of TCP/IP suite of protocols.

·         Hands on experience on latest firewall and VPN technologies,

·         Knowledge of Unix will be of advantage

·         Hands on experience on inventory management for  Hardware and software licenses.

·         Experience of handling 24 X 7 support operations including duty rostering of support personnel and outsourced facilities management (FM) resources.

·         Technical knowledge of current SharePoint software, protocols, and standards.

·         Sound knowledge of integrity and security of SharePoint data in accordance with business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance and best practices like ITIL and ISO27001.

·         Complete project life cycle experience of developing applications for SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 including forms services,

·         Techno-functional exposure on SharePoint based site development.

·         Understanding of 3-tier architecture, objected oriented analysis and design,

·         Experience of development of business logic and UI ( WebForms, JavaScript, DHTML/HTML,   XML/XSLT/XSLT)

·         Hands on experience on FrontPage 2003, SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio.NET,

·         Excellent analytical skills to diagnose process, performance and technical issues.

·         Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, design, coding and debugging

·         Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

·         Ability to work independently and to communicate at all levels within an organization • Assertiveness, interpersonal skills and customer service attitude

·         Proficient in vendor management. Must possess commercial sense and negotiation skills with an eye on cost optimization

·         Always eager to remain up-to-date with latest in the technology advancements and well paced with certifications.

 

Qualification: Graduates in any stream.

The following certifications will be preferred

IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Microsoft / Cisco certifications

 

The following certifications will be advantageous :

Certified Information Systems Security Professional  (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
