Assistant Manager Revenue Accounting (Exp.3 to 5 yrs)

Job Description:
- Responsible for Revenue accounting in accordance with USGAAP and Company’s Revenue Recognition policy:
a) Ensuring that all projects have the required documentation as per the Revenue policy at each month end.
b)Maintenance of organized file with necessary documents including Customer contracts, Purchase orders
c) Interact and Liaise with necessary people including BDD’s to obtain the documentation
d) Ensuring Key controls in the revenue cycle are completed and evidenced each month.
e) Create Project codes in the MIS in a timely manner and ensure documents have been received.
f) Provide inputs to Manager Accounts in the monthly forecast by helping to estimate revenue to be recognized in the month.
- Responsible for timely and accurate customer invoicing
- a) Review every invoice that is being raised.
b) Ensure WIP is kept to minimal levels at the end of each month.
c) Proactively follow up with project managers and BDD to ensure WIP is invoiced as soon as
possible.
- Responsible for Customer collections including regular Customer follow-up phone calls and emails for payment:
a) Maintain an data base of customer contacts that lists the contact names, phone numbers and e mail address for ALL clients
b) Review the AR Ageing once each week and action unpaid invoices that are due for payment.
c) After invoices are sent out follow up with all clients to ensure they have been received and are ok to be processed.
d) Ensure over 60’s AR are kept to below 5% of AR at each month end
- Revenue Forecast:
a) Review the Forecast numbers on a weekly basis for India operations so that it is fully updated before corporate run their forecast each Wednesday.
b) Co-ordinate with the Operations to ensure that we have the latest revenue forecast information.
c) Ensure Actual revenue for the month as per accounting package agrees to the forecasting module by 8th working day of new month.
- Responsible for IRF processing and accounting:
a) Issue all IRF’s by the deadlines in the finance calendar.
b) Accept IRF’s post them .
c) Agree Intercompany balances each month.
- Assist in successful completion of the various Audits, including Statutory audit, group opinion audits and SOX audits:
a) Providing all information required by group auditors and statutory auditors during various audits and reviews.
b) Proactively raising any issues in advance of the audits so they can be resolved before results are finalized.
