·         Should possess strong knowledge and experience in the area of capacity planning for a ultra large enterprise.

·         Coverage in a complex environment - more than 12000 MIPS, 50-60 Tb disk, 1000 - 1500 Tb Tape and    256-512 gigabytes of central memory in a complex, z/OS Plex configurations is an absolute must

Should be skilled in the following areas:

·         MVS/XA (structure and logic, tuning and control, diagnostics)

·         JES3 Advanced Systems Programming

·         IBM SMP/E Integrated System Maintenance

·         DASD Storage Sub System Maintenance

·         Advance JCL and Utilities

·         System Recovery in Complex Environments (3081/3084)

·         CICS Transaction Server

·         OS/390 Systems programming

·         Solid  Experience in the following areas

·         CPU Capacity Planning and OS/390 Performance Monitoring

·         Storage (DASD) Capacity planning and utilization

·         Storage (Tape) capacity planning and utilizations

·         Solid hand-on skills in the areas of  Computer metrics and instrumentation, Performance Analysis, Capacity Planning, DB2 SQL Tuning, Solaris Performance, Z/os performance

·         Experience in working in a large telecom company, especially outside India, with a good reference from senior IT leader is  a must.

·         Should have experience in developing  capacity plans  with the constraints provided by  the client  and manage them without affecting SLAs

·         Hands on experience in real Mainframe environment  focus on Operational Expenses reduction and performance improvement

·         Experience in  Performance testing and benchmarking in Midrange and Mainframe applications

·         Should be able to develop capacity requirements and perform  capacity assessment and consulting

·         Should be able to produce trend analysis of various mainframe and midrange environments and provide   recommendation to client.

·         Should  have proven skills in  problem diagnostics  in Mainframe Servers and Databases

·         Should have presented papers/ seminars / articles in IEEE or International DB2 Users Group etc.

·         Should be from Telecom Billing domain with good exposure on Mainframe

·         Storage – 5 -6 years

·         Individual contributor role

·         Good in client management

·         Regular shift but extended working hours depending on the need

·         Architects/junior architects will be relevant
