a. Job Information:
· Business Analyst understands the business issues and data challenges of the given function.
· Identifies client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
· Develops complete and accurate business requirements, business process models, data mapping & dictionary, documentation of business & data governance rules and other allied efforts.
b. Roles & responsibilities:
· Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
· Develops functional specifications and assist in system design specifications for client engagements.
· May work/ act as data stewards who verify/ validate the integrity and quality of the data and will have sound knowledge of the business area and evaluate the effect (defining the costs and benefits) of the requested changes.
· Work with ‘business’ to define the meaningful and measurable business case.
· Should liaise with business managers and low-level users to understand and document business objective, business requirements and scope across affected business areas.
· Works with business owners and delivery work streams to develop optimal solutions and understand other projects in the given functional area.
· Contribute to defining high-level scope, creation of User Acceptance test plans by being part (being defacto owner) of the UAT and define acceptance criteria.
· Work with project manager/s to plan analysis work and highlight risks and issues and provides periodic reports to the project manager/ line managers/ business showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, issues, risks and dependencies.
c. Qualification:
· Graduate/ Post Graduate
· Preferred – Writing and executing SQL statements against RDBMS using query execution tools.
- Preferred – Understanding of OLAP/ Reporting platform.
d. Minimum Experience:
· 7+ years
