Description:
The Test Lead will be responsible for leading a team of SDETs dedicated to a product/business area. A test lead will have a strong background in building comprehensive test suites and delivering high quality products.
Core job responsibilities include:
· Develop test design specs and test cases for product features.
· Participate in the creation of the overall test automation strategy.
· Modify and extend the test automation framework.
· Mentor the other test engineers and developers on the proper use of the test automation framework.
· Drive changes in quality processes to continually improve effectiveness of quality work over time.
· Run automated tests and analyze test results. Create and execute test cases.
· Participate in design reviews.
· Write defect reports and verify fixed defects. Root cause defects.
· Work closely with developers and program managers to prioritize test automation creation.
· Be able to work as part of virtual team and have excellent cross team collaboration skills.
Requirements:
· Experience: 4 to 6 years
· Should be able to demonstrate understanding of quality assurance processes and software development lifecycles.
· Should have ability to work within the project teams and across the product groups. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Strong drive, passion and will to win in this space against all odds.
· Should have ability & experience to lead a team of seasoned developers with diverse background.
· Strong skills managing, mentoring and coaching individuals.
· Expert understanding of design patterns and EE practices & processes.
· Expert in C# and .NET and passionate about technology.
· Has completed at least one full software development cycle from concept through delivery.
· Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent work experience.
Desired Knowledge/Skills:
· Demonstrated working knowledge of SQL Server and Web technologies
· Experience with Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Refactoring, Iterative Planning and other Agile methods
