Job Description
As part of the business development team for a specific category, the person will be responsible for:
- Building and Managing a team of business development executives
- Responsible for targets, incentives and revenue for the category
- Building and managing brand relationships in the geography – including deals, preferred pricing and preferred treatment.
- Manage the execution of marketing assignments in the geography
- Building and developing supplier / distributor relationships
- Managing accounts of suppliers / distributors
- Responsible for market research on price data, product movement, competition pricing, product bundling, etc.
- Develop a very good understanding of the category and become an expert on the sales and supply side of the given category
Requisite Skills -
- MBA (preferably Marketing) from premier B-School like IIM/FMS/XLRI/SP Jain etc.
- At least 2 yrs of experience in Vendor Relations, Sales, BD, Account Management
- Should have “exceptional” communication skill
- Extremely good in inter-personal skills – ability in striking conversation borne out with examples in prior work experience
- Should have a good presentation
· Should be an extroverted personality who enjoys being and talking with people, high energy level and a positive approach.
· Should be a quick learner and target oriented.
