Business Analyst

For one of the leading Global Services Company based out of Bangalore.

Roles & responsibilities:

·      Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.

·      Develops functional specifications and assist in system design specifications for client engagements.

·      May work/ act as data stewards who verify/ validate the integrity and quality of the data and will have sound knowledge of the business area and evaluate the effect (defining the costs and benefits) of the requested changes.

·      Work with ‘business’ to define the meaningful and measurable business case.

·      Should liaise with business managers and low-level users to understand and document business objective, business requirements and scope across affected business areas.

·      Works with business owners and delivery work streams to develop optimal solutions and understand other projects in the given functional area.

·      Contribute to defining high-level scope, creation of User Acceptance test plans by being part (being defacto owner) of the UAT and define acceptance criteria.

·      Work with project manager/s to plan analysis work and highlight risks and issues and provides periodic reports to the project manager/ line managers/ business showing progress against outstanding milestones, status, issues, risks and dependencies.

Qualification:

·      Graduate/ Post Graduate

·      Preferred – Writing and executing SQL statements against RDBMS using query execution tools.

·      Preferred – Understanding of OLAP/ Reporting platform.

Minimum Experience:

·      7+ years

Must Have:

·      Assists in the facilitation of team and client meetings.

·      Delivers informative, well-organized presentations.

·      Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.

·      Develops relationships with client personnel that foster client ties.

·      Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions with project management.

·      Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

·      Develops functional specifications and assist in system design specifications for client engagements.

·      Manages client expectations effectively.

·      Domain – HR or Finance

Soft Skills:

·      Excellent written, verbal and presentations skills.

·      Facilitation, Mentoring, and Negotiation skills.

·      Experience documenting business processes.

·      Experience documenting business requirements.

·      Problem solving and Critical thinking skills.
