State Institute- Communication & Engagement Specialist

Role Description  

·         Ongoing relationship management with key decision makers and influencers at state level

·         Primary advocacy for state level programs

·         Top cover for district level programs

·         Secondary advocacy for district level programs

·         Creating advocacy sharing platforms

·         Ability to engage with Teacher associations in the state

·         Organizing education conferences in the state on issues such as ELM, policy, NCF, RTE, etc.

·         Work with media at state level to advocate key educational issues

·         Creation and dissemination of advocacy material

Attributes and Experience

Experience – 5+ years

·         Good People person; genuine belief in making a difference.

·         Strong inter personal skills; ability to work with multiple teams internally and externally such as Resource Partners, external agencies, etc.,

·         Should be able to gain in depth understanding of the developmental process in general; and the various programs specifically

·         Strong communication skill (both oral and written) in English and Kannada

·         Should have adequate understanding of govt. system; strong process orientation

·         Conflict Management & negotiation skills

·         Being persuasive, ability to engage with complex issues and resolving them.

·         Strong development perspective; should have sufficient years of working experience in the development sector

·         Ability to connect with people at various levels; top echelons and grassroots

·         Presentable Personality; yet being passionate

·         Should be conversant with Kannada language
