Provides technical assistance and developer support to customers and partners.
Summary of essential job functions
Provide technical assistance and developer support via phone, the Internet, e-mail and other electronic means. Obtain and retain general and detailed knowledge on any number of assigned developer products. Communicate technically complex remedies, solutions or workarounds in a clear and concise manner. Focus efforts to meet or exceed defined performance criteria.
Minimum requirements
· 4 year degree preferred or relevant industry experience; technical aptitude and hands-on experience developing Java software in an enterprise environment.
· Comfortable learning and then using CRM and diagnostic tools. Evidence of learning and applying technical skills
Abilities Required
• Bachelor or Masters degree in Computer Science or related field of studies
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
• Fluent written and verbal communication in English
• Must have excellent customer handling skills and be used to working in environments with high levels of stress, dealing with complex technical issues whilst managing customer expectations
• 4 + years industry experience in technical support or related disciplines
• 2 + years of industry experience in Java development
• Intermediate level of knowledge in Spring Framework
• Intermediate level of knowledge in vSphere SDK/API
• Familiarity with Hibernate, Eclipse, Maven, or PowerCLI is preferred, but not required
