SharePoint Architect

SharePoint Technical Architect will be responsible for designing and developing innovative web-based and mobile solutions using latest in Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013 technologies. The Architect will be responsible for collaborating with all project teams to conceptualize, design, and implement farm-based websites and portals and define roadmap for upgrade, migration. SharePoint Architect will have to coordinate with all relevant stakeholders to ensure that various templates, pages, web parts, workflow components, jquery widgets can be adopted, reused, tailored, customized and extended across other websites.

Qualifications:

·         5+ years of experience in evangelizing architectures using SharePoint 2003, 2007, 2010 and 2013 web application using tools – e.g. SP Designer, InfoPath, Visual Studio etc

·         Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in website and artifacts development – master pages, publishing pages, page templates, lists, views, site collections, custom web parts, sequential and state machine workflows

·         Good experience in integration third-party tools and libraries – Infragistics, Telerik, MS Office 2010, Silverlight, JavaScript, JQuery, InfoPath forms, FAST Search with SharePoint

·         In-depth knowledge of sandbox solutions, SharePoint client object model, REST API, Search setup, SharePoint BI tools – Performance Point, security – user, group setup, throttling and performance tuning

·         Acquainted with usage of configuration tools (e.g. TFS, VSS, SVN)

·         Broad knowledge and advanced skills in content migration, deployment (including 2013 App model), backup/restore and import/export and overall SharePoint Configuration, Administration and Active Directory Integration

·         Preferable to have knowledge of SharePoint upgrade tools like DocAve, Metlogixetc

·         Should have worked with VS Workflows

·         Experience in JSOM/ CSOM/ SSOM.

·         Should have idea about App in SP 2013 (very key skill of an SP Architect)

·         Should have worked with tools like Nintex and K2 and Kendo

·         Should have worked on calendar overlays, client side model

·         Should have worked on App, Remote Event Receivers

Responsibilities:

·         Work in cross-project teams, to plan, prioritize, and deliver website architecture, master page design and page templates

·         Collaborate with project teams to develop reusable components

·         Make understanding business user requirements a constant priority and align website design with business needs

·         Should be able to devise multiple solution options along with justification, pros and cons for each solution for any customer problem

·         Mentor projects teams on best practices around website architecture, coding standards, naming conventions, cross-browser compatibility, multilingual considerations, performance tips and tricks, troubleshooting and debugging techniques
