Sr Software Engineer - SharePoint

For US based Fortune 500 Company into medical domain based out of Gurgaon

 

Roles and Responsibilities

• Required an experienced and motivated professional, who will play a key role in building the organization.
• Conduct design and development activities to ensure that timelines and project target costs are met.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities related to development projects.
• Creating and reviewing prototypes, integrating systems, site architecture management, implementing end-to-end solutions, managing a team and partnering with onsite teams.
• Demonstrate a proactive role in anticipating potential issues to ensure progress is uninterrupted.
• Involvement in new business development and building successful client relationships that leads to repeat business opportunities.
• Use a hands-on or analytical approach to provide technical guidance and resolution of any outstanding problems.
• Able to customize and configure the SharePoint out-of-box features through SharePoint Designer 2007 using VB Script, Java Script, XML, XSLT, XSD, XQUERY, CAML, Web Services, C# not limiting to the following area:
• Data Views/Forms and Web Parts
• Work Flows
• Able to customize the SharePoint Sites and Portals by creating Custom Site Templates, Page Layouts, Master Pages, Site Definitions, Themes / CSS etc.
• Should have the ability to multi-task, learn and adapt quickly to related technologies in a fast paced environment.
• In addition of technical depth and breadth, candidate should have excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Be mindful of risk reduction strategies and lead risk analysis.
• Demonstrate good time management skills.

 

This person will be responsible for designing and developing software applications for divisions

 

Technical Skill Set

Primary

• Object oriented analysis, design and programming (OOA, OOD, OOP)
• UML(unified modeling language)
• Design Patterns
• Core Skill Set
• Language: Java Script, C#, CAML
• XML Domain: XML/XSLT/XSD/CAML/OOXML/XQUERY/XPATH
• Tools: Visual Studio, SharePoint Designer 2007
• Expertise in WSS 3.0 and SharePoint Object Model and SharePoint Web Services
• Experience in solutions implementation, Developing Web Parts, Custom Work Flows (using Windows Workflow Foundation (WWF), Features, Event handlers, Web Services with Feature implementation with .Net design and development skills.
• Experience in integrating with third party components.
• Must be experienced in SharePoint Templates (Application Templates, Master Pages, Role-Based Templates) creation
• Must possess expertise in packaging and deployment of MOSS solutions to remote and inaccessible systems with easy and error proof installation techniques (WSP, batch files)

 

Additional

·         Worked on the MS Business Intelligence Components like building KPI dashboards, Scorecards, Reports using SharePoint Excel Services

·         Experience in SSAS, SSRS as BI Platform in pulling data from various data sources like SQL, Access, Oracle Etc.

·         Experience in developing Custom Workflows using InfoPath form services.

·         Experience in Windows Presentation Foundation (WCF) is a plus.

 

Desired Profile

Education:

• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/MS. -  Computers, Electronics/Telecommunications
• MCTS certifications around SharePoint would be a big plus.
• Experience: 6-9 years
